     CHARMING ILLUMINATED VELLUM MANUSCRIPT LEAVES FROM A BOOK OF HOURS IN LATIN.
(France ca.  1460)   177 x 128 mm. (7 x 5"). Single column 15 lines in a pleasing gothic book hand.          Rubrics in red typically several (sometimes a dozen or more) one-line initials in burnished gold on a blue and magenta ground with white tracery and one two-line initial of the same design from which emanates a full-length marginal border of gold ivy leaves on a hairline stem (sometimes one of these larger initials with a border on each side).       Occasional faint soiling and faint offsetting from touching marginal border otherwise in fine bright condition.
