(Low Countries or Germany: 15th century). Leaf: 492 x 360 mm. (19 1/4 x 14"); Frame: 625 x 485 mm. (24 1/2 x 19"). Single column, eight lines of text with four-line staves, in a handsome gothic hand.

In a wooden frame with double sided glass. Rubrics in red, several initials embellished with red ink, four colorful initials at least the length of one staff of music, one highly embellished, one two-stave initial in red, heavily decorated and embellished with blue and red ink. A hint of wrinkling and soiling to vellum, a few slight marks in the margins, but a fine specimen, the ink bright and the margins ample and very clean.

This handsome antiphonary leaf comes pre-framed in double-sided glass so that the viewer may appreciate the entire object. The recto is particularly lovely, with three colorful initials displaying a range of decorative motifs.
