(Paris: mid-13th century). 140 x 89 mm. (5 1/2 x 3 1/2"). Double column, 46 lines in a gothic pearl script.

Attractively matted. Rubrics in red, capitals struck with red, headlines and chapter numbers in red and blue, one five-line puzzle with long descender and an "I" puzzle initial the length of nearly half the column, both in red and blue and with with penwork extensions in both colors, one five-line initial in color and once-gold scrollwork infilling. A touch of wrinkling, the gilt rubbed and faded, a trio of tiny holes in the inner margin (from sewing or pricking?) , otherwise excellent, clean and rather bright, with very attractive decoration.
