Original buckram portfolio, green paper label on upper cover. With 12 original leaves from early printed books, including FOUR INCUNABULAR LEAVES, each leaf with one or more botanical illustrations, NINE OF THE LEAVES WITH CONTEMPORARY HAND COLORING. ◆Three of the leaves somewhat browned, a couple with light foxing around edges, two leaves with very small paper repairs, but very good specimens overall, and beautifully presented in as-new folders and portfolio.

This is a group of early printed leaves, in Latin, German, and French, from significant herbals, including major publications by Bock, Fuchs (two leaves), Lonicer, Mattioli, and Brunschwig. The set includes leaves from:
